Party Stopper? Cindy McCain Joins NOH8 Campaign.

As literal Republicans publicly and proudly move to the center to distance the party from the winout Tea Baggers, are we, the GLBT, thrown into an identity crisis?

We had a presidential candidate who campaigned for our community’s votes on a platform of swift change and respect. We would up with a president who, for whatever reason, will no longer vocalize solidarity with our civil rights movement, even now as his words are used against us in the Prop 8 trial here in California.

On the other homo hand, we have Republicans such as Ted Olson who are arguing against Obama’s remarks on behalf of marriage equality in said trial. Yup, Republicans are starting to come out as fierce advocates who deliver.

And then we have Cindy McCain (wife of John and mother of fiesty queer-ally Megan) leaving some of us scratching our gorgeous, chiseled chins after posing for Adam Bouska's NOH8 Campaign. (To which Megan Twatted: "I couldn't be more proud of my mother for posing for the NOH8 campaign. I think more republicans need to start taking a stand for equality and civil rights in this country and set the example that this is not a partisan issue.”)
